Talmage Update (1 Month old!)

I wrote the below post on Saturday evening. The doctor this morning pushed discharge back. We are hoping for Wednesday. Zane and I sat at the kitchen table in complete despair after getting that news. We had already packed up the apartment and were ready to go! The doctor wants to watch Talmage's breathing for a couple more days.

Talmage is one month old and is ready to be discharged! Discharged is set for Monday which is two days before Talmage's original due date. We are excited this day is almost here!

Talmage's first month of life has been very traumatic. He has already flown in a helicopter! He is doing amazing now and is a happy, calm baby. He now weighs 5 pounds 9 ounces

Talmage after his bath snuggling with his paci. One nurse tied a baby shirt around his paci to help weigh it down so that it doesn't fall out as easily. Like all my kids, Talmage loves his paci!
(On a side note, nurses get away we things we as parents were told never to do. For instance, I find Talmage asleep on his tummy all the time. They can weigh down paci's and put babies to sleep on their tummy because Talmage is hooked up to monitor noting his heart beat, oxygen levels, and respiratory levels. I think all parents should have this machine at home!)

Talmage is in a deep sleep because paci has fallen out and he is good with that.

Talmage's thinking face
Look at those lines between his eyes. He gets this look all the time and I have to massage his forehead telling him to relax.

We are looking forward to month two being full of snuggle times and getting to know siblings.

What sweet pictures! YAY TOMORROW!! Can't wait to hear about it! And for your kids to be able to finally hold him! P.S. I was a really scowly baby. He may be too? haha.

So exciting! It will be so nice to be home. I was out of state with Jalen for two weeks and it felt like an eternity - and we weren't even dealing with all the health issues. What an experience this has been for your family!
