While in college, Zane and I were set up
on a blind date with a few other couples—Zane with a date and me with
another date. Throughout the
night, I paid a lot more attention to Zane than my date as he kept making me laugh. Apparently I was more interesting than Zane's date too. We seemed drawn to each other. Because we lived in the same city, different than
everyone else in our group, Zane ended up taking me home. Instead of going straight home though,
he decided to take me to get some pie.
We talked and laughed for hours.
After ten years of marriage, we can still spend hours talking and
laughing together…and of course eating pie together is still a favorite
treat. As a couple we enjoy
running together, going to plays/musicals (date night!), playing games, watching
movies, reading books, discussing politics, traveling, and having competitions
on the Wii. We’ve decided that
whatever we have to do, we might as well do it together. It makes any chore or project a lot
