Liliane's Story

 Our Sweet Pea

Liliane is our fighter. She was born a month early and was 4 pounds 3 oz. She stayed in the hospital for 11 days but after nine days she had pulled out her feeding tube and decided to do everything on her own.  She had met her brothers earlier that day and I think she decided to take matters in her own hands to get out of the hospital and be with them permanently. She is a calm, sweet baby who loves her brothers. They are great entertainment for her and of course she entertains them! Lili also loves to play dress ups and take pictures (or maybe I just like dressing her up and taking pictures). Either way she is a great sport!

Liliane's Adoption

Lili was named after both her birthmom and me (both of us have Anne in our name) so that she would know of both of our love for her. Zane and I talked on the phone to Lili's birthmom on October 31st where she told us she picked us to be her baby's parents. A few days later (after a doctor's appointment) we got the call that the baby was going to be a girl. You can imagine the excitement in our house! We met Lili's birthmom briefly in the hospital. It was a very emotional meeting and Zane and I again were amazed at the love and courage of birthmom's.
