FHE Will Never Be the Same Again!

Now that Gavin has learned this game, he takes every opportunity to play it, during Family Home Evening (FHE), Sacrament meeting, during prayers...any time he can see our heads.  Dallin of course finds it hilarious and joins right in.  Reverence is definitely an issue!

Hiya!

Dallin tested for his orange belt.  Check out how cool he is especially at the end when he breaks the board!  What I'm most impressed with is how he sits or stands still when he is waiting his turn.  Huge improvements from day one of his classes.

Happy Mother's Day

Agape is a Greek word for a particular type of love.  Agape’ love is love that is based upon principle and is, by far, the noblest type of love. Agape’ love is unselfish and is more than just an emotional response.  Briana Marie

I spend Mother's Day weekend thinking about my birthmom's with my heart filled with so much gratitude.  I always think about these special women in our lives, but on Mother's Day my heart is even fuller.  This morning I put on my special mommy bracelet that both Keslie (Dallin's birthmom) and I have.  A friend made one for each of us with Dallin's birthstone on it.  I feel a little closer to her when I wear it (Dallin's birthmom passed away a few years ago.) I hugged my boys and tried to smother them with kisses; they will get more throughout the day.  I became emotional during the musical number at church when all the Primary age kids got up to sing and for the first time, Dallin was up there singing to me.  I have the rest of the day where my husband and kids will honor me... but I want to honor my birthmoms.  I wouldn't have this awesome responsibility, experience the hugs and kisses, the funny moments and hair pulling frustrating moments without these two women.  They made me a mom. They changed my life.

Kelsie and Tracy- I honor you. You are our heroes, our angels sent straight from heaven.  We love you.  Thank you for sharing your boys.

Minute to Win It Games- In pictures!

We had tons of fun at a friend's birthday party playing Minute to Win it Games.  Dallin really got into it!

 So did Zane

and me.

And this goofy kid enjoyed watching it all.

We never accomplished this one but Dallin loved trying (and eating)!

The best one to watch...

bringing so much enjoyment

and laughter!

Impromptu Water Fight

I brought two hot and sweaty boys glasses of water.  Next I heard the hose get turned on and when I went to check, a water fight had commenced.   Since clothes were already wet, I just went with it.

Crazy boys!

From Catepillar to Butterfly

Throughout the month of April, our preschool watched five caterpillars eat a lot of food, crawl to the top of their home, turn upside down, and form a chrysalis.  We then watched little butterflies break free.  It was so exciting!  After a few days, we let them fly to there new home.  Now every time we see a butterfly in our yard, Dallin asks if it is one of ours.

By the end of the month, we were ready to head to the butterfly museum
where you can actually see all kinds of insects (like these cockroaches!!!)

I took five four year old boys who were very well behaved.

We enjoyed a train ride plus lunch at the park.
In the end, I drove five energetic, talkative boys home wondering why they weren't more worn out.  I sure was!
