Spring

This is my favorite time of year in Houston. We have cool mornings, beautiful afternoons, and cool evenings. This weather only lasts a couple of months at most, so we are going to take advantage of it!

Here are my favorite parts of Spring:

1. We celebrate Dallin's and my birthday.

2. We play at the park or are outside non stop. When you have a two year old, full of energy boy, you crave outside time!

3. We can play outside without melting.

4. Flowers start blooming! All winter long (some of November through some of February for us) I just ignore my yard which actually is a nice break from how much time I do spend on my yard the rest of the year. I hate the dead, brown look and so try my best to plant flowers that can survive the cold and give me some color in my yard. Then I just wait out the winter to see what will happen to them. This year my bushes didn't survive our unusual cold season, but my pansies, petunias and snap dragons did. They are all starting to bloom and my hands have been itching to be outside in the dirt.

5. Busy season ends!!!! We are not quite there yet. Zane gets a little reprieve this week from busy hours but next week he will be auditing a new client and working the long hours again. The end is in sight though.

6. With the end of busy season, means daddy comes home before Dallin goes to bed and we get to play outside enjoying the longer day light hours and cool evenings.
