We're Batty!
We came to a baby shower sporting our bat Halloween outfits to find baby Alex (cousin) also being a bat (a super cute one I might add.)

Sneaking In
I constantly find Dallin sneaking into here...As soon as Dallin hears Gavin awake on the monitor, he makes his move. It is his old bed and room after all. He loves his car bed, but deep down, he may miss this bed (or he may just enjoy the challenge of climbing in.)
Dallin also enjoys talking baby talk to Gavin. They have a secret language that I don't understand yet!
Interesting to note, when Dallin was in his crib with the mattress all the way down, he could climb out and enjoyed doing it, but he couldn't climb in. With the mattress up, he can climb in but not out. I think I should have had the mattress up when he was using it. It would have been nice at times for him to climb in and then be stuck in!

A Visit from Gram
We had Gram for less than 24 hours which was a perfect excuse to throw out the usual nightly routine of cooking dinner, eating dinner, cleaning up dinner, bathe kids, bedtime routine, and then the mad dash to pick up the house and get something accomplished from the long to do list. Instead we went out to dinner and after the kids were in bed, we watched Iron Man 2.
While at dinner Gram and Zane tried to teach Dallin how to use chop sticks.
Thanks for visiting!

Growling and Giggling
Almost anything can make Gavin giggle and Dallin tries them all. I think Dallin needs to work on his scary factor before Halloween...Gavin sure doesn't think he's scary!
Dallin's not the only one whose growling is funny instead of scary.

Watching Conference
This is how we started watching the Saturday morning session of conference. (General Conference is where members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints listen to the prophet, President Monson and members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles speak. There are four general sessions.)
After a little bit, Dallin moved on to playing with toys or cutting paper. He listened the whole time though, which is pretty amazing for a two-year-old. We know he listened because every once in awhile he would yell out Book of Mormon, temple, whisper, and Jesus to name a few after a speaker said one of these words. (These are words that are apparently said a lot around the house, which is a great compliment to a mom that her son who acts like he is never listening is hearing something. He is also hearing the word whisper a lot. I wonder why?)
My favorite was every time someone said Jesus Christ whether in the middle of a talk or at the end, Dallin yelled out Amen. He actually looked up at the TV when Elder Dallin H. Oaks talked because we were shouting look Dallin, it is Dallin. His favorite speaker was President Monson of course because as Dallin informs us all the time, "President Monson is my best friend." He is a great friend to have. Apparently President Monson's talk was on honesty because Dallin told Zane and I, "President Monson say don't steal gum." I'm sure he believes that even if it wasn't mentioned during conference.
Don't you love this age when kids say the funnest things?
